It was time to unload the camera

So, today's Tyler's 18th birthday, so we took pictures. I looked through the pics and realized it hadn't been unloaded in awhile, so here are the ones that I liked best.

City Creek Opens!!!

Wow, I never thought I'd be so impressed with the new City Creek mall downtown. I hadn't planned on checking it out anytime soon, but yesterday, Olivia insisted I join the Phi Girls for an adventure downtown. I obliged her wishes and met up with Michelle, Melissa, and Rachel. After we explored, we hit up the food court before heading out to Rachel's house, where we were joined by Mindy and Lauren! I was so psyched to see them all and hang out like we used to. I want to say that the night was supposed to be about the new mall, but it became about so much more.

I love my Phi Girls!

Random Talents

Random talents are uniquely awesome. I just happen to be a highly amusing improv storyteller who exercised this talent at work to entertain Kenzie and Mindy. I was simply writing an idea down for a possible facebook post for work about beach weddings, and I came up with this:

"Beach weddings are wonderful, they provide a carefree attitude to a relaxing atmosphere, which is great because planning a wedding is uber stressful. the last thing a gal wants to do is walk down the aisle feeling super stressed and angry at the world. I can't imagine a person who doesn't appreciate the idea of a beach, i mean come on, relaxing sounds of the waves crashing agaisnt the shore, and I'll bet if you wanted to you could have pirates attack. I mean, they roam the high seas as well, but they wouldn't to be very well-mannered guests at a wedding.  Plus, they'd try to steal not only the wedding gifts but also the wedding rings, which would be bad. They'd also eat all the cake and totally hog the dance floor."

Needless to say, it made Kenzie laugh. I should do stuff like this more often.

This clip...

... was played at least 5 times yesterday while I was at work. Needless to say, I really should watch the first movie before this one comes out in July 2013. I laugh every single time.

Zombie Dreams

Sooooo, I am obsessed with AMC's original series The Walking Dead. Personally, I blame Tyler (a DC intern) for getting me hooked on it. I've mastered the art of being able to watch the zombies eat people, while eating food myself without getting sick to my stomach. Everything is fine and dandy, until I go to sleep and have zombie-themed dreams. Keep in mind that they aren't super scary or gruesome, but they do disturb me to a certain degree. Especially when I've also been watching Shameless on SHOWTIME, and I have zombie themed Shameless dreams.

Backstreet Boys are...

...my favorite boy band. I was never an N*SYNC girl or a JT fan. I was BSB and Nick Carter all the way. This is my favorite music video of all time: Everybody (Backstreet's Back) by the Backstreet Boys.

And just in case you were wondering, my favorite song is Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO.

4 blisters

I hate blisters, especially on my feet. My first experience with excruciating blisters on my feet was in DC, and now busy season at the Bridal Shop is underway and my blister experience continues. For your own benefit, I will not post photos.

I guess constantly changing my shoes at work is the only way I can help prevent this problem, but I already have to lug around my flats in a bag everyday, adding another pair would make my car seriously smell like feet, and that's a smell with I do not want to be associated. I mean really, who wants to smell like feet?

Anyway, I should try to put more shoes into my rotation, but when you're trying to dress professional and cute it can be a dilemma if you are not willing to wear high heels 42 hours a week. Regardless, maybe it's time to go shoe shopping!

A friend-filled Saturday night

All right, so ever since Lambda Delta Sigma was dissolved back in July, it's been a challenge to keep up with all my Phi sisters. To help remedy this predicament, Livvy organized a dinner at Chilis for 7:30pm last  Saturday. I finished work around 6ish, and headed to the restaurant with the idea in mind that I would find some random way to entertain myself until it was time for dinner.

I sat in my car in the parking lot for about a minute before I pulled out my phone. I dialed Bryce, we had missed our Tuesday night phone call this past week and I really wanted an update. He answered! He asked what I was up to after telling me he was having dinner with some friends. I told him my location, and he laughed. "Come to Paradise bakery."

I headed the 30 feet from the car to the bakery, and there he was, sitting with a bunch of people from school, including Leilani and DJ from my house last year. I was ecstatic! I cheerfully spent the next 90 minutes catching up with my buddies, before heading over to Chilis to meet my my Phi girls.

The final count for dinner was me, Melissa, Rachel, Nikki, Michelle, and Olivia. It was so great to hang out and be updated on their daily lives and activities. I really do love my Phis, and we definitely need to have dinner more often.

And to top off my great weekend, Michelle gave a really awesome guy my number and we've been texting back and forth. He is a blast to chat with :)

Anyway, I hope my Monday is a great day for both sales and writing inspiration!
