We had Thanksgiving with Sam's family this year and spent a few days away from the cold temps with the Elmers in Arizona. Sam's mom hosted, and I was in charge of the sweet potato casserole. Close to 30 people showed up armed with side dishes, and we had quite a feast.
I got a lovely surprise when the kids called me and we Facetimed for a little bit. They were in New York and actually got to be at the Macy's day parade.
While we were in AZ, I got to go shopping with Lisa (Sam's mom) and Alexa (Sam's future sister-in-law), played a few rounds at Topgolf, and just have some quality family time. We had a lot of fun, and will be heading back in January for Jake and Alexa's wedding.
